Caterpillars!

                                                               Cat the Caterpillar! :)
My mom made this for me and I painted the dots and added legs ;-)
                                                          My sock caterpillar puppets :)
Not sure what to call these, but they are caterpillars that you                                           can move up and down (for music and movement center)

This is a box I made for when I go to tutor. It has Personal Interest Survey questions in it, for them to draw at random. For example: "My favorite food to eat is.....". Just to make it a bit more fun rather than reading them off to the student.

This is a shirt I embroidered today. Not too bad for my first I suppose lol, but a little loose as my mom told me and I agree.

This is a card I made for my Matthew John. It was our 7 month anniversary of being married. :) Getting close to a year!!

Items for Tutoring

These are Dolch Sight Words on index cards.
Used: index cards and construction paper.

The stars are for the student to tell me if they are EXCITED! (yellow star) down to Scared (red star).
About questions I'll ask them about reading and writing.
Used: q-tips, construction paper, and copied the stars off of Microsoft Word.

The start of January '11 Crafts

I had an old 3 ring binder that I decided to redecorate. I used paper (called petal papers), ribbon, and stickers for this project. And a hot glue gun is my best friend when it comes to crafting projects! ;)

This is the front of the 3 ring binder.

This is the back. (apologies for poor picture quality)
Front and back view of binder.

Snow Day!

Today is a snow day! I have done some house cleaning and organizing already. So, after I eat today I am going to work on creating whatever I feel like creating! I love free days! Later I will post the creation, if it turns out good lol!!! :)

                                                                Inside of Princess journal.
This was the very beginning for my interest in arts and crafts.

I painted this for my Dad. I believe it was my freshman year in High School.
To start off, I want to give all of the credit to GOD. He is the One who blessed me with the ability to re-create His creations. I see it as putting my personality into what He has already created. I want to empahsize that I do not believe I am making a new creation. God says "What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun." I would also like to give some credit to my parents; both are very talented in the arts. My mother (Terry) is an all around artist, from drawing, painting, planning, interior design, crafts, etc. My father (Jerry) is all around artist, as well, from photography, sculpting (welding), drawing, etc. Both of them have encouraged me throughout the years; my mom has influenced me mostly with crafts and drawing/painting and my dad with photography.
